Cast in platinum to a 40mm diameter case, with a depth of 12mm and a meteorite dial with diamond baguette indices. The smooth bezel is symbolic of the platinum casing, and lets this model stand out from the other precious metal counterparts.
The Day-Date 40 is paired to the famous presidential bracelet also cast in platinum, with pivoting end links to wear smaller than its predecessor the Day-Date 2. The screw down twin lock crown ensure water resistance to 100m, the saturated blue dial perfectly complements the platinum case, white gold hands and Rolex crown ensure no tarnishing. The day and date display at 12 and 3 o'clock is easily legible even in bright sunlight and are double quick set.
Inside the case the Rolex manufactured calibre 3255 movement replacing the older 3155, bidirectional winding and 70 hours power reserve, a superlative chronometer as the movement is tested in 6 position and runs no more than +2/-2 seconds per day.
This example is in like new condition with no signs of wear or polishing, complete with a 2021 dated Rolex Warranty Card, booklets, green tag and the XL jewellery display box.
