Nautilus, 5711/1A
The Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1A - measuring 40mm diameter and 8.5mm thick. The design was based on the portholes seen on ships, while still being dress watch worthy without being fussy whilst being rugged enough to be a sports watch. Some say it’s the ultimate one watch collection.
Designed by Gerald Genta in 1976 famously sketched whilst sat at a restaurant observing other patrons. The initial sketch is said to have taken only 5 minutes and has gone on to define the Patek Philippe brand. Genta famously designed another iconic model the Royal Oak for Audemars Piguet. The combination of stainless steel with the sunburst blue dial and exhibition case back, it makes a strong case for a one watch collection. Powered by the in-house 324 calibre movement with 45 hour power reserve and water resistant to 120metres.
Originally supplied in 2017, our 5711 is presented in excellent condition, with light signs polishing. The watch comes as a complete set with the Patek paperwork, wallet, booklets and original Patek box.
We welcome viewings in our Knightsbridge showroom.
