Undoubtedly the most iconic model Rolex has ever produced, Daytona named after a Florida city which became popular with motor racing enthusiasts at the turn of the last century, Daytona became the world capital of speed, in the 1950s Rolex introduced their first manual winding chronograph model 6234 featuring a tachometer/telemeter scale to measure time over distance considered by many as the first Daytona ever made.
This Daytona feels substantial on the wrist, with a weight belying it’s 40mm case and 12mm thickness. Cast entirely out of platinum from Rolex’s own foundry. The chocolate bezel contrasts perfectly against the ice blue dial with baguette diamonds used as hour markers.
Our example is presented in very good condition, showing light signs of polishing but in like new condition. The watch comes as a complete set with a 2022, new style, dated Warranty card, booklets, both tags and original Rolex XL box.
