Cosmograph Daytona, 116520

Cosmograph Daytona, 116520

Before the meteorite dials, before the ceramic bezels, there was this, the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 116520. Produced from 2000 to 2016, it was the first Daytona powered entirely by Rolex’s own movement, and by 2009, it had already cemented its place as one of the great modern classics.

Inside beats the calibre 4130, Rolex’s first in-house chronograph movement, a milestone that redefined precision and reliability for the brand. It’s robust, beautifully engineered, and has become a favourite among collectors for exactly that reason.

The 116520 represents the bridge between generations: the last of the steel Daytonas before the shift to ceramic, and the model that carried Rolex’s racing icon into the 21st century.

Refined yet purposeful, it’s the Daytona stripped of excess. Pure, balanced, and quietly brilliant. A true modern legend that reminds us why the original formula never really needed changing.

Our 2009 example is presented in excellent condition, with light signs of wear and no signs of polishing. Supplied as a full set and is accompanied with the 2009 dated warranty card, booklets, one tag, and original Rolex box.

We welcome viewings at our Knightsbridge showroom.
